Accountability requires ownership.
People need the context, authority, and room to make decisions. A thoughtful failure is acceptable when the team owns it, learns from it, and grows.
Product leadership / customer outcomes / technology operations
I build product organizations, digital platforms, and better ways of working. The result: teams move faster, make better decisions, and deliver, support, and improve things people actually use.
Operator's notebook
Not theory. A leadership contract shaped by products, platforms, teams, and the occasional avoidable mess.
People need the context, authority, and room to make decisions. A thoughtful failure is acceptable when the team owns it, learns from it, and grows.
I trust that teams want to do the right thing and succeed. My job is to create the clarity and environment where good judgment can thrive.
Hard is not the same as impossible. Find the path, push the boundary, and let evidence, risk, cost, and tradeoffs determine what happens next.
People bring their whole lives to work. Real relationships make it easier to be honest, ask for help, navigate difficult days, and understand what affects the team.
Give people ownership. Trust their intent. Start with possible. Lead the person.

I work where product strategy, operating models, and technical execution meet.
Product organizations
Product operations, portfolio management, roadmaps, governance, delivery systems, KPIs, and cross-functional leadership.
Digital and connected platforms
Mobile products, connected vehicles, APIs, SaaS platforms, subscriptions, e-commerce, integrations, and customer journeys.
AI, data, and delivery
AI-enabled workflows, analytics platforms, automation, implementation leadership, professional services, and technical operations.
The technical operator's view
My engineering and support background means I do not stop at the roadmap. I trace root causes, break complicated systems into manageable parts, test technical viability against user value, and follow products through deployment and operation.
Diagnose
Understand how we got here and why it matters. Trace the system, challenge assumptions, and separate symptoms from causes before deciding what to fix.
Shape
Balance technical viability, business value, and a user experience people genuinely want rather than merely tolerate.
Build & deploy
Connect product intent to development, implementation, release readiness, and responsible deployment.
Support & improve
Use customer feedback, frontline support experience, operational data, and reliability work to strengthen what shipped.
Selected stories
A few examples of the systems, teams, and platforms I have helped move forward. The full chronology lives in the résumé.
Scaled a multidisciplinary organization to more than 10 people across product, engineering, quality, support, and operations while managing a $3M+ portfolio of app and platform work.
Defined the strategy and architecture, then led full-stack teams delivering an API-based experience for 200K+ users to find and pay for charging, reaching 10K+ active users in 60 days.
Built the US Connected Car team, trained it in root-cause analysis, and connected frontline support to global release and quality processes, reducing app defects by 90% and support cases by 75%.
Stepped into a Director-level transformation mandate, reshaped product and engineering capacity, clarified roles and platform ownership, added UX, and formalized planning and execution to increase delivery velocity and predictability across Digital, IT, and Marketing.
Beyond the work
Leadership is part of the story. So are old machines, practical repairs, family, and a French bulldog with excellent management instincts.
A difficult problem is a good place to start
I am always open to a thoughtful conversation about leadership roles, product organizations, technical platforms, or consulting work.
